Marketing your micro jobs

Let's go in to marketing your micro jobs a little further. This is one of my favourite topics because without enduring this timely task your gigs could just well be dead already.

First off (and if you have the time) take a look at this article I wrote "How important is advertising your micro jobs". It's not that it's important to market your gigs it's a necessity in order for your gigs to be lucrative. Without marketing your gigs your taking away potentially thousands of visitor and hundreds of sales to your services.

There a Lot's of ways you can be marketing your micro job services and I will throw a few ideas here for you now.

OK, so let's assume you have all your services up and ready and the only site you are currently promoting on is Fiverr.com. Starting the ball rolling tends to always be the hardest bit because you have lot's of ideas but you don't know where to start. Try the steps below.
  1. Build a blog/website for your micro job services. You can use blogger.com, weebly, wordpress and I'm sure if you do a search you will find lots more.
  2. Set up your social networks, I always try and use the most popular ones available including Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, Pinterest. Keep in mind that you must keep active with these so don't try and do to many, just pick the ones you think will benefit you most and crack on with them.
  3. Try "spreading", you probably never herd this saying before because it's my own and all i mean is visit some forums, blogs, websites and join in with the communities, leave comments, make helpful useful suggestions and people will see that you mean business and that if they did order from you there getting a good job done. Put simply "build a reputation for yourself"
You need to keep this up, this is not something you can do over night. Don't worry if you have a full time job already you can just do this over time. I can guarantee that if you keep to your plan and follow the simple steps above you will start to see improvements on your orders.

So what other ways can you increase your traffic?

I can't go in to detail on all the possible ways you can advertise and self promote your micro job services. What you can do is test the water's your self. Some marketing methods will work differently for the type of services your offering, for example; if I offered a service of dancing round singing happy birthday i wouldn't try and promote this on a web design forum, I'm sure you get what I mean. You could even try PPC, facebook marketing, paying for targeted visitors to your gig link. The opportunities are endless.

Well I hope this post has give you giggers some ideas on how you can promote. If you have any questions or you need a little help then just give me a shout.

Happy gigging!
